Sometimes I just felt like quitting and just be a SAHM. Working life to me now is like so dead and I cannot go anywhere...can't go up...can't go sideways..can't go another company. Somemore changed dept ..job function is like so routine..so dead...and sometimes so busy cos gotto help my old dept to clear some shit...direction also unclear..sometimes report to my boss..sometimes my boss ask me to report to another person same level with me.....so sian..so sian..be patient..wait till Jayden is at least 1 yr old...then I'll change job..OR..is there any job where I can work at home? Any recommendations?
Being a SAHM means I have to depend solely on hubby's income. Every month just ask him for money...But then when I think again..if I stay at home and wait for my hubby to bring back money for me every month..it will make me feel like I'm so useless and like so dependent on him. Every month also put out the hand and ask "where's my Kar Yung?" then he will show me his "Hokkien Mee" Face...(very imaginative hehe?
Not saying that SAHM are useless ppl..it's just me. Maybe I'm those ppl that likes to make my own money and spend my own money buying things that I like. With my own money I don't need to ask permission to buy things and do things. It's not like my hubby is stingy..he buy things for me..like my handphones..I have never pay anything for all the phones I used to have. Lately during our trip he bought me a camera. (Thanks babe :))
But then hor.. ppl say although wifey is working and earning her own money..husband should also give allowance, correct or not? Working mums..your hubby give u extra allowance or not? I've asked my hubby before how come he don't give me allowance.. he will say "got ler...got ler".. but never give...Hmmm
I have thought of it before..If I'm a SAHM, I can have so many plans for my baby..what I wanna teach him this and that..Cook and all..But I think I'll go mental if there's no maid. Before getting a part time maid..we used to do everything ourselves. We have a ShihTzu(BoBo) with bad attitude...a dog that loves my hubby so much and he wants all the attention. If not... he will pee on things in front of you! And I have another ShihTzu-my baby girl(CaCa) that wants me to groom her and carry her all the time. Although our house is very small, its time consuming cleaning it during weekends. I nearly went mad! That was before Jayden arrived. Can you imagine if there's Jayden, BoboCaca, my hubby and myself? Can you imagine the havoc? hehehe
But then hor.. If i have another baby (not in the near future-some ppl know why) then I will seriously consider to stay at home...with a maid. Cos the amount of money that we pay our babysitter will cost us a bomb. If only my MIL is around..but she's no longer ard and my mum is far away from my house..if not then it'll be much more easier and cheaper..hehe (so bad hor?)

*sigh* for now..if i wanna feel like a tai tai, i'll just take leave and lay on the bed doing nuthing..go for haircut...shopping...pedicure..manicure....urut urut....and enjoy that few hours alone. But when it reaches 6pm, I have to wake up and be a maid myself..to my son!
If money from hubby is enough for the family, then you may consider being a SAHM. My dear, I'm a almost-SAHM, but not easy to make time for hairdo, manicure, pedicure, shopping, etc!!! Sometimes really tied up with kids at home, and also $$$$...No need to spend money meh? Unless hubby's making money like Datuk K, then ok lah, can really be a tai tai!
ReplyDeleteShoppingMum:Noler..If he is rich, I'll start my own biz. Siti also have to work la although Latuk so rich already....
ReplyDeleteif u do decide to be a SAHM, can think of doing some simple stuff at home to earn $$$. mebbe baking or sumthing :) SAHMs hv a harder time at home, hse chores, taking care of the family etc.
ReplyDeletewell I work full time and do NOT get any allowances from hubby....I wish! hahahah
ReplyDeletetell Mr Chan you wanna be a Datin Chan. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhen i worked, i didn't get any allowance from my hubby too. But he'd pay all my expensens including my car installment and insurance.

ReplyDeleteHa ha I absolutely agree with mommy of two angels. People say TGIF, I say TGIM. Not that I do not like spending time at home, I love doing that but at times, it can really be exhausting. My opinion is SAHM has a tougher life than us FTWM, that's why I always salute them :)
ReplyDeleteRachel: Lucky U can get allowance.
ReplyDeleteOli: Yeah. SAHM is tougher.Tats why i need maid. Nolah, Bake=not as good as other ppl.
Mom2Ashley + Annie : We're Sdn. Bhd ma
Nyonya: Wait..Wait till my become a Latuk first.

ReplyDeleteKenny: now u know u can learn things form aunties neh? Hubby rich also not necessary want to be SAHM..normally they're latin or tai tai nia..
ReplyDeleteHey..Sasha,
ReplyDeleteI think if one works.. can feel more like "tai-tai" than not working.
ayo...being SAHM not easy leh..work is good for the soul despite the stress..err..what am i talking about?? gila leow..haha..work la..stretch out the palm waiting for $$ not good la..but then hor..me working but i make sure hubby pay for all kids and necessities! so my money i use for my shopping la!
ReplyDeleteMamabok: Yes lor.. I think I cannot be a SAHM la.
ReplyDeleteLaundryamah:Yeah not easy..I think I'll nuts. Same la.. My money is my money ma! hahaha
i think i'll go crazy if be SAHM and just live with kids, but then again I won't mind a flexible work which allows me to stay at home more :).
ReplyDeletemy hubby gives kah yung cause i requested it. RM500, 200 is for food, 300 to pay me back (cause his insurance is using my credit card for monthly auto-pay). So stingy hoh...dunno why he doesn't give more, must find tricks hahaha
I work, and I don't get allowance also... :D
ReplyDeleteAs for being a SAHM, I always wished I dont' have to come to work, but during the 2 months maternity leave, I realised that if I have to stay at home at all times, I will get SO bored and so direction-less... Not that I don't like spending more time with Rachel, but it's just that I need time away, and need to use my brain once in a while... I still looking forward to stop working, but that will also mean I have something else to do or to take care of, and not just to stay at home and be a housewife, because I am really not a housewife material... It's a real tough job!!
I'm like you, don't think i can reach my hands out to take money from him every month..
ReplyDeleteLike so useless like that.
My hubby never gives me allowance one ler.. But I make him pay for every thing for the house whole lar.
