Finally P&O is out.

After our first visit to the dentist, both my SIL smsed me the contact for child friendly dentist. So since one of the is just opposite our Dr's clinic, I said " hey why not just bring and see what she says". So off we went to Smile Dental.

The kids were greeted with Nickelodeon's cartoons and also a play area. When she called Jayden into the room, she told him that the chair was a spaceship and he can control it if he press a few buttons. He got too excited when she allowed him to press some buttons to see the chairs going up and down.  Then got him up to the chair and began to inspect his teeth.

He kept asking her:
can you change the channel?
can you increase the volume?
yes the kid can watch tele while the dentist check on them.
And then he asked the weirdest question
Can you remove your white gloves? I don't like it O.o

So the dentist checked and said that we can remove the teeth today but with a jab, but looks like JD is not going to cooperate while she jab his gums. So best is to go home and shake the teeth and hopefully one week later it will be better and she can remove it using the numbing gel.

Just to introduce him to dentistry, she said maybe she can polish his teeth and let him feel how is it like to visit the dentist. So she polished his teeth, he giggled and said it's ticklish. He saw the paste she used and asked her "is that strawberry toothpaste?" She said "no. Its bubble gum flavour". "Can you give me strawberry flavour toothpaste?". She said "okay. this is strawberry bubblegum flavour toothpaste". Voila. he sat quitely and she polished his teeth without any fuss.

So its been a week since the last visit and today was the day to remove his so called crocodile teeth.
Can u see the extra teeth sprouting behind? That's the new teeth. The dentist said it's quite shaky but not that shaky. So we need to apply some gel and quickly remove both the teeth, F-A-S-T. She told me "mummy, please harden yr heart". I said "naah... no problem". And she started.

(do not watch with yr kids. Otherwise you will freak them out!)

1,2,3........10. And he cried so loud and began to tear. It's been so long since I am helpless when any of my babies cried in pain (cos i usually laugh at them and say "i told you!")  But I manage to held back and told him something lah. I forgot what i said edi. You can hear it in the video. hahah

Anyway, the process was fast. And while he was crying I gave him a new train. And quickly he went off to open and play with it. But scream once in a while, while waiting for me to do my filling.

So I took the teeth back and washed it really nice and dried it up.
And put it into the Baby Tooth I won from Fab Moms & Tots long time ago.

place them exactly to the tooth placement in the mouth

the album with the plastic container.

His name written on the album

The date that it came off.
Now do you know why the blog post is called P&O??
cos the placement of the teeth was labelled as P & O in this chart.

I'm so proud of him. Spoke to him after we got back from the dentist and he told me it's not painful anymore. But he is scared to eat cos he said "later the food go into the hole how??" So I guess it's gonna take him a few more days before he can settle down.

Taiping Equine Park

We're in Taiping during Christmas for a road trip Ipoh-Taiping holiday with my in law's family. One of the activity we did was to visit Taiping Equine Park so that the kids can ride on the horses. If you are wondering where is Equine Park, its around the Taiping Lake Garden, on the left before the Zoo/Night Safari. (it's a one way street around Taiping Lake Garden so everyone goes round and round like merry go round).

This is the price list for the different rides.

Jayden got very excited and surprisingly he asked to go on a ride , by HIMSELF.  I though okay fine.. maybe he'll chicken out at the last minute. But  I was so wrong.

Happily wore the helmet and hopped on THAT particular horse that he like.

I am so proud of him. No sign of fear at all. No wonder they use horses for therapies with kids.

He kept patting and "sayang"ing the horse for that 2 rounds. Can see that he loves the horse ^_^

What a pose right??? *LOL* actually I think he was scratching his head or adjusting his helmet.
Guess who also wanted to ride after he saw his kor kor riding on a horse?

The lil guy wanted to ride but with one condition - IF mami goes along. What to do ? Go lah! He was pretty excited when he got on the horse. But as soon as the horse started to walk, there were TOTAL SILENCE. For the first time, my son is speechless. Ha! Even I am abit afraid cos the horse is the biggest one so we're quite high from the ground.

He told me "Mami, I am scared". There's still one more round to go so I told him "No need to be scared. Prince (the horse's name) is the best horse here. He is the ONLY white horse here. A special one. And he is handsome , just like you!". Syiok lah after that. And we survived 2 rounds of riding on a horse without him asking to go down halfway. Phew!

I can say I'm pretty happy that we brought them here. I discovered that Jayden is fearless and is very adventurous compared to the brother. And both of them enjoyed the ride. So did I. :D

Nancy Chong's All Time Favourite Butter Cake

I've heard and seen alot of reviews about her cake and I've been waiting for someone to bring it for me all the way from Ipoh but I'm always not in good luck. I was there yesterday in Ipoh and I told my husband, "let's call her up and see if she has extra or not". Unsure about whether she is opened during a public holiday, I tried my luck and called her. Voila! I got the last one!

Her house is just behind the Ipoh Specialist Hospital and when I got into her house, her entire house smells like butter. And her kitchen was a serious cake production site. No Joke. Cupcakes, huge butter cakes, icings were in the table. Didn't snap pic tho :D

Like many said, "It's old fashion but it taste heavenly". When I took my first bite, I was like OMG! its is really fluffy and nice. And the icing is super sweet but if you eat together with the cake , it is just perfect.

Finally, I know how Nancy Chong's butter cake taste like. And I achieved another target for this year - taste Nancy Chong Butter Cake. I have yet to achieve another target of mine which is - Bake a Cake that is edible and presentable as Bday Cake. Oh well... always can bring forward to another year since I am my own boss :P

1kg Butter Cake is Rm42 and if you would like to order from her, her addy is as per the pic above ;)

What to tell the credit card man

Okay, so I used to get approached (by the credit card man/woman) alot but now, less. (hehe probably I don't have the OfficeLook anymore eh?) So, I have tried a few excuses to give to them so that they will stop bugging approaching me. But this was the latest story...

Credit Card Man(CCM): Maam, credit card for you!

Me: *smile* I am not qualified.

CCM: Sure qualified wan! You have credit card?

Me: Yeap. But I am not working. And its a supp card.

CCM: Oh.. Like that ah. But why not you try and sign up and see?

Me: *big smile* look, I am a housewife.

CMM: OOhhhh.... thank you ah....*bounce off*

See? Not qualified, also still approachable.

Not working also still approachable.

But when you mention the H word, I mean Housewife word they will eventually bounce off.

LOL.

I just love to see their facial expression when I mention it. It's as though they have met with a ghost and they will quickly walk away and find new prospects.

I used to think that its like an insult to housewives that even credit card man also think that we're penniless. But in this case, NEVERMIND lah..... less ppl bugging me, kan?

Sewing Monster Is Back?

Well... kinda.

I won't be sewing for sale. BUT, I will be sewing for fun this time.

No deadlines, no commitments, no headache with requests and best of all, no stress.

So here's my first sewing project after a long hiatus.

Do you know what is it?
