I Told My Nanny Off!

Yeap. Finally I told her off. You know lately Jayden got about 10 mozzie bites around his face and hands. On Sunday itself, both Big C and I kena from my dad, my mom, my sis and everyone that saw Jayden. Nanny nagged me about it on Monday morning as soon as she saw him. And yesterday when i went over to pick him up, there she goes again.

Nanny: How you all take care of your son ah? So many mozzie bite. So Yam Kung (pity)!!

Me : *blood go upstairs edi* :)

Nanny: You See! So Many! So Many! Near CNY samo go and make your son so ugly.

Me : *fuming hot* :) :) I also don't want this to happen right. I was doing housework so open and close the door. 1 mosquito went into the room and bite him only. We never kena also.

Nanny : CANNOT BE! Must be alot of mosquito! How can bite so many at one night. How you all take care of him wan???

Me : *angry but still smiling* You think my heart not ache izit when I see my son kena bite until like this. I also want him to be handsome during chinese new year ma. :)

Nanny : mmmmmm

Me : :) Jayden say bye bye Auntie la..

Jayden : :) *waved bye bye*

I know that she really sayang my son alot. But sometimes I hate it when ppl question me how I jaga my son. Of course I want the best for my son and of coz my heart aches more than any other ppl out there to see my son like this. I'm sure you guys know what I mean...

my mum said maybe my blood is "sweeter"...

What my mum did (conventional way) was to burn the "Kambong" smoke (the one used when we pray to God of Datuk)..

  11. I'm sure u wouldn't like Jayden to be bitten like dat but I'm sure his nanny meant well too cos I think she's oso 'sam tung' seeing Jayden like dat.

Babies and small kids are more prone to mozzies' bites. Like what u said, maybe their blood is sweeter (heehee).

No worries lar, Jayden will be a hensem boy on CNY.

hey put mossie patch stick at the cot and can use the bud's mos lotion on him to prevent mos bite, works on faythe.

try to avoid "open air" at ur house around 5-7pm (i think) because they mosquito most active time ...

i watched some documentary they said that mosquito love blue... so dont let Jayden wear blue lo... (im not sure is it scientific proven - kinda long ago)

no worry la... During CNY Jayden will be super lengcai liao... :D

  14. Sasha, it is very hard these days to get a nanny who really loves your child. A lot of people do it as a business and detach themselves emotionally from the children they look after.
You are very blessed to have a nanny who's also in pain to see Jayden being bitten by mossies.
I think she is one of those who does not know how to express herself in a softer manner. :)) She means well but when the words come out of her mouth, it sounds like a rebuke.
Jayden is very blessed to have so many people who really care and love him.

Jayden probably has a higher body temperature. Mosquitoes tend to bite on those who have higher body temp. My hubby always kena mozzie bites whenever he's in Msia..and he is the only one kena. There is a plant that curbs mozzie..do you have that?

  22. Aiyo poor thing! (Poor Mummy too for having to take the rap --- wanted to post about busybodies too). Get Mosi-guard and spray it on Jayden's clothes - it's natural, fragrant and effective. I used it during preggy time coz scared of denggi also.

  23. Hey I have the same conversation with 2 of my babysitters. They always blame us but it is always at their place where the bites occur. Give her a bunch of mossie patch.

  24. I can understand how you feel. That is exactly what I get from my mum whenever she finds out the boys are not well. The worse is she says this to me directly, " Don't know how to be mother wan". Aiyo...makes my blood boil and at the same time hurts too to hear that.
