Child Kidnap Trick in Carrefour, JB

Received this email today...

Even if you do not have little kids, pass this one on to everyone you can think of. You never know who you might save by sending this e-mail! Please, take the time and forward this to any friend who has children & grandchildren! Thanks!

Wanted to share something that happened today while shopping at Carrefour. A mother was leaning over looking for meat and turned around to find her 4 years old daughter was missing. I was standing there right beside her, and she was calling her daughter with no luck.

I asked a man who worked at Carrefour to announce it over the loud-speaker. He did, and left me, he immediately walked right past me when I asked and went to a pole where there was a phone. He made an announcement for all the doors and gates to be locked, a code something.
So they locked all the doors at once.

This took all of 3 minutes after I asked the guy to do this. They found the little girl 5 minutes later in a bathroom stall drugged .Her head was half shaved, and she was dressed in her underwear with a bag of clothes, a razor, and wig sitting on the floor beside her, to make her look different.

Whoever this person was, took the little girl, brought her into the bathroom, shaved half her head, and undressed her in a matter of less than 10 minutes. This makes me shake to no end.

Please keep a close eye on your kids when in big places where it's easy for you to get separated like Shopping Malls. It only took a few minutes to do all of that. Another 5 minutes and she would have been out the door.

I am still in shock that some sick person could do this, let alone in a matter of minutes. The days are over when our little ones could run rampant all over the place and nothing worse would happen then them annoying people.

The little girl is fine. Thank God for fast workers who didn't take any chances. BE SURE TO FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE, SO THEY REMEMBER JUST HOW SICK PEOPLE ARE OUT THERE!

Heard about this a few times and another time was my cousin's own experience. The girl was holding her mummy's hand and the stranger can go and pretend to be her mummy by extending her hands out. You know children normally just hold anybody's hand if extended near them. So the stranger took her to the toilet and did the same thing. This happened in IOI MALL in Puchong. Luckily they managed to locate the girl in time. Head half shaved with a wig on the floor. The fella managed to escape into the crowd. Sick fella.

Another advice for myself and for mommies and daddies out there, always remember to look out for ppl around you and your baby who's in the stroller. You might end up with an empty stroller. I cannot imagine if my Jayden is missing. I'll go crazy, nuts....i cannot imagine. Damn, its getting more and more dangerous now.

  3. Time for me to whip out my child harness/leash again.. My hubby is so against me using it.. but I think it's so useful, at least the kid will not be too far away from me, and if there's a tug on the other end, I can feel it.

    Scarry..

  13. It's getting more n more scarier everyday. Remember the kid that got kidnapped about 10 yrs ago? Ppl saw him in Bangkok with his hand/leg(cannot remember) chopped and begging for money on the street. His auntie saw him but unfortunately when she called him, someone came and took him away. How i know..cos my mum knows his family members.
I dun give money to the beggers in Pasar Malam cos its a syndicate, and most of the children is always asleep, cos they give them sleeping pills. And they will come and pick them up at the end of the day.So if give money means supporting the syndicate but if the children don't have enuff then they'll get beaten up. Poor thing. Lets keep many many eyes on our child and also ppl's child if can and pray that nothing bad will happen to any of us.

  14. Hi Sasha, Thanks for dropping by my blog.

Yep,there are a lot of sickos out there kidnapping children for begging, human traffiking and for the human spare parts trade!
Take good care of your toddlers and use a leash for added comfort.

  15. I received this email a few years ago and got into a panic, only to find out it's a hoax. Our hypermarket where got so efficient lah.

No harm in being extra careful. Just remember not to be paranoid lor. One of my friends won't even ride the LRT with her children, just in case they get kidnapped. Now, that is being paranoid.
