Just The Two Of Them

ogre

The other day, Jayden was crying and I wanted to carry him. He refused and and wanted his dadi to carry him. Once his dadi carried him he began to smile. Then I pretend to cry like him and asked his dad to carry me. To our surprise the little pushed me away from his dad and hugged his dad tight. Then his dad wanted to pass him to me and he CRIED so loud and pushed me away. He...............*sob* He rejected me! I felt so so rejected! *sob*

I used to complain saying that Jayden dislike his dad since he was born. And then he sticks to me like a koala bear.*sigh* Now he wants his dadi to carry him when we're out. He wants his dadi to carry him in the room, in the house. Maybe because most of the time, I'm the one that punish him when he's being naughty and Dadi is the one that saves him.

I should be happy now that I'm free from MR Koala Bear! But no...suddenly I felt like I'm out of the picture just like the picture above. I felt like my heart got this small thorn, slowly poking my heart....like painful abit, ache abit. Why ah?

Awwww ..... typical of kids. Booboo now refuses to let his mummy kiss him. Only wants me, even though I'm the stricter one.

    Aiyoh, **sayang, sayang**.

It's like that lah, Jayden is playing reverse psychology with you.

You tell him off and now he pretends lor then hopefully, you will not always be telling him off but discipline calls when discipline is due so don't stop whatever you were doing with him.

Maybe hor, let dadi do a bit of disciplining for a while and see what happens.

Another thing is you can make him is favourite food or give him ice cream. :)

  12. Hi Sasha,

That's human nature. When we have it, we don't appreciate, when we lose it, we begin to regret.

Have another baby so that you and hubby can each carry one.

  17. pain ar? wait until they got a girlfriend lar. i always think girls will stick to the family even after they got married, whereas boys will be like a pail of water -once you pour it out, you'll never get it back.

  20. Maybe it's time for your family to have a second one...hehe...that way, one follows papa, the other follows mama...like in my case, Ryan follows papa and Jaden sticks to me like glue :p

  21. Hmm... funny thing is my boy clings to me, instead of my wife too, but I am the one whom punish and scold him! I have always thought that boys tend to stick to mum and girls to dad. How come? How come? :P

I feel boys will be close to their mums. But ur Jayden is at an age where he will want his dad. He will grow out of it wan lar. U heard b4 the terms mama's boy, daddy's girl rite? Where got mama's girl, daddy's boy wan?

But hor, just to be save, record ur voice on a CD that goes, "Mommy is the best, mommy is the best, I wan mommy, daddy is bad, I dun wan daddy...." and let him listen to it when he takes his afternoon nap!

  24. haha....love has slowly developed over the times. Or u are too fierce??

  25. Don't worry, he will come back to you. Sometimes it is daddy's time and most of the time it is mummy's time. Fair Share.

  26. When they cling to us like koala bear, we complain. When they don't, we sakit hati. Let dadi carry lah.. save u some energy. But I'm sure he still prefers u over dadi when it comes to sleep time?

  27. Awww don't worry I think it's just a phase :) Believe me, kids will always go back to their Mommy

  28. same same here also...my son prefer PaPa...

    ReplyDelete
  29. hmm... this moment my son still prefer me, sometime dun want the daddy, duno how about later ... hehe.
Now u can take a break and enjoy lil ME time. :)

  30. Hmm.. i thin k i understand that. Well, I'm a Papa obviously.. Josh used to stick with wife coz I always scold him for being so monkey. but lately, after the twins arrived.. he's more to me than her mom. I guess wife too busy with the twins.

the feeling a bit lonely can sometimes go crazy. I ever force Josh to play with me even when he ignored, pushed me. End up, I scold him again. Hahaha.

  31. If he sticks to u, u find dat he's a koala bear but when he doesn't stick to u, u miss him, normal case lar. Maybe Little Jayden is testing mummy leh. U're always saying he's a koala bear so now he's trying to stick to daddy and let u feel how it's like without him sticking to u. Hahaha.

No worries lar, kids are like dat, they have mood. I'm sure he'll stick to u in no time again.
