He is 6!

My big boy turn 6 yrs old today. Time flies. Recap of his birthday cakes:

1st Pocoyo cake
2nd birthday : Henry Cake

3rd birthday: Edward, James and Toby Cake

4th Birthday: a simple blueberry cake
5th birthday: A moist choc cake

This year, he didn't ask for anything specific but I know what he likes. BUT he repeatedly told me that he doesn't want to celebrate in school because everyone would look at him when they sing the birthday song. :S Instead, he asked for a small makan party with family members.

At first, I wanted to bake him a cake and decorated with an edible sheet that I got from Edible Print. But he saw me designing the artwork in my MacBook and he asked me "what is that?" I said , "a secret". He said "can you tell me the secret?". I said "No". "When can you tell me?". "On the 21st". And he said "ah........." Then before he slept, he told me "mami, I don't want to have party in school. You don't bring cake to school ah.." Aiyoh he knew my plan! I asked him why and he said "because when everyone is singing happy birthday song, then they will look at me"

So since he said like that, I have to respect his decision. Then the edible sheet, how?

I was busy the entire week (story later this one) and I need to submit my artwork on Thu and gotto go to Cameron Highland on Friday. Stress level shoot 200%. So I quickly call my sis and asked her to help me to order a plain cake and passed her the edible sheet so that she can bring the cake over on Sunday when we're back from Cameron Highland.

As planned, as soon as we touched down from CH at 5pm, immediately I drove out to buy food and got back at 7pm. Decorated the cake with Strawberries that we brought back from CH. And he was surprised when he saw the cake.

His 6th birthday cake.
The cake , decorated with strawberries and Edible Sheet . Initially I only print the big pc, but the owner of edible sheet is so nice. He added 8 more cuppy sheets for me :)

And we lighted it..
And as we sang the birthday song, the birthday boy was so shy, he went to hide *slap forehead*

He told me "I had a great party.I'm happy".
And he kissed my hand.
:D

Effort so not wasted.

p/s: Happy Birthday Jayden Boy. Mami, Dadi and titi loves you lot!

DIY: Personalised Birthday Gift - Scrabble Tile Names

November is always the month that I look forward too cos its my birthday month and also my bestie's. Her bday is only 9 days after mine. Since this year she has a new baby and a new house, I thought why not make something for her and her hub too since his birthday is only 4 days away from hers and include her baby into the picture too? So I decided to make a frame with scrabble tiled names of the family, also adapted the idea from pinterest =) What is the point of pinning and never do them right?

I like the scrabble best cos I managed to put their daughter's name in the middle and connect both of their  names together :)

I went shopping for the items that was needed together when I did this gift for JD teacher's gift. I found the frame from ikea and some "light" wood from Daiso. So when I got home, I quickly started to saw the wood into cubes. 3 cm x 3 cm.
After sawing the wood into cubes, I sandpaper them and made the wood cube smooth in order for me to paint the letter and numbers on. Then.... i didn't take the picture of the next step cos....
1. initially I wanted to carve the letters on. But then my tool is not suitable. Failed!
2. I wanted to paint the letters on the cube but my brush is not fine enough. Failed!
3. painted the letters using pencil tip as brush. Failed!
4. Wanted to write the letters using pen but the ink smeared. Failed!

So lastly, I decided to put a layer of celotape on the cube and cut the letters out. Peel the letters out and then brush a layer of paint on it. Voila! As for the numbers, impposible for me to cut the celotape or brush them on. So what to do? Write the number on with ballpoint pen. :) (why never write the letter with the ballpoint pen? cannot... cos it will make the surface jaggered and not smooth. You can only use ballpoint pen for a single stroke letter on wood. er... you know what I mean ah?)

aisay.... didn't take a close shot of the scrabble tiles. This is the closest I took. I have another one but it was blur.

I didn't manage to give it to her before her birthday cos we're all busy with wedding dinners and all. So I gave it to her as her belated birthday gift and also early birthday gift for her husband. They looked happy and pleased (I hope!) and her hub even asked me to sign on it. hahaha oh well.. will be dropping by later at their house to officiate the "art" later. ;)

(UPDATE: lately I have received many comments on this and many also told that I can buy the tiles from some shops and also amazon.com. Thanks! but then I stay in Malaysia and there's hardly any stores here that sells loose tiles like this here and If i were to buy it from amazon, it will take at least 2 weeks for delivery and the charges will cost a bomb (Note 1USD = Rm3.80) But anyway I thank you all for your kind comments and your visit here :) )

He is finally 4!

His first....
We celebrated his bday party in the seafood restaurant with a pocoyo cake.

His 2nd...
We celebrated his bday in Mcd with bloggers and family members. He had a "Henry" Train Cake. Then we went for a holiday in PD on his actual bday.

His 3rd...
We had a party at home with a cake decorated with Gordon, James and Toby Train.

And his 4th.. He asked for a cake to be decorated with Annie And Clarabelle cos he has a Thomas train and he is very lonely. But we didn't do that cos we gave him the trains much much earlier before his bday.

We went to Sunway Lagoon one day before his birthday and had a splashing day followed by dinner at steamboat place so he can have free flow of ice cream :P. And the next day, we brought him to look at fishes in Shah Alam and went for my uncles bday which was on the same day as his bday.

Yes.. he is still a Thomas fans after 3 years!. I don't know if he is still gonna be one next year or not but I'm looking forward to see his precious smile when we celebrate it for him.

Happy Birthday my dear Jayden. We love you alot alot! <----*his language*

29

Yeap I am 29!

Celebrated my birthday in Cherating last week. Took a few days off and spent it with my hub and my kids without MAID. Just wanna have some family time alone without any strangers around, if you know what I mean. I am so busy right now cos I took a few days off-no work but then deadline is still DEADLINE, gotto hand in by the given date. *sigh* Hence posting of Cherating might not happen anytime soon until I finish my work. Nevertheless, here are some of the pics taken on my birthday. This year is special cos I have 3 guys celebrating it with me and of course I received a surprise from Big C.

Dun count the candles cos my hub simply hantam for the kids to blow!

He insisted to find a cake and so we went round and round Kemaman town and he finally found a cake for me. I was wondering how come he is so persistent in getting one. When he presented me the cake I thought it was just a cake. To my surprised, he placed my pressie on the cake.

How IT happened...

It's been a week since I gave birth. Although I'm super lazy, I think I better jot it down before I forget.

So on Tuesday night, we went to makan dinner in SS2 with my sister. I jokingly told Jayden " Follow Boh Boh home la. Tonight mamimi wanna go and give birth" and my lil boy walked towards my sister. Then my sister went home and we did our usual stuff. Jayden was watching his tele, hub was using his laptop and I was walking around nesting like a bee. Bzzzzzzzzzz then suddenly I told my husband, " I think we better take a pic of my tummy...." And so we snapped
Photobucket
With Jayden, my tummy was 38inches and weight 72.4kgs. With Justin, my tummy was 40inches and I weight around 69.5kgs.

Right after that, I continued my nesting in CL's/BB's room and suddenly I felt like I was having period and I have a look down there and I saw blood. I asked Big C to confirm for me and then I called my doctor immediately. She asked me to head to the hospital to confirm.

I called my sis to come over and pick J up. We packed HIS bag, lotsa snacks, lotsa dvds/vcds, toys and blablabla and waited for my sis to come. He was all jolly and happy to see my sis + her hub and willingly went into the car and jumped up and down in the car.

Big C changed into the same T-shirt he wore when I delivered Jayden. It was a Nike T shirt I bought for him written "NEVER SURRENDER". *lol* After that we took a very SLOW drive to the hospital. I guess we just wanted some final-Alone time together before we multiply to 4. Haha So as soon as we got there, I got changed and positioned for dilation check. Ouch... very very PAIN! And I was told that I am only 1cm dilated.

My doc came not long after, she did another check (ouch!!!) and found that I'm 4 cm dilated and my water already broke, but I have totally no IDEA that its broken also! However, Baby's head is not pressing on the opening. So gotto wait for baby to go down and dilate more before we can do the actual work.

Contraction came (Yes, now i know how it feels like, pain like how Pearly said it "so pain holy sugar , you just so pain you even forgot your mama". Yeap that's how I felt but I insisted not to have epidural. Want to be champion ma....But Big C kept asking me to take it. And I finally took it at 4.30am.

After that, I had a short nap and woke up with itchiness(side effect of epi) all around my body except my waist down. My right leg totally went coma. Other part is about 95% numb.Big C was sleeping and I entertained myself and had a good laugh in the delivery ward.

Doctor came and checked me again. Woot! Not painful at all cos of the epidural, and she told me that if baby's head is not going down, I gotto go through C-sec.After that I asked Big C to come and talk to my tummy, asked baby Justin to go down so can come out soon and mamimi no need to go through c-sec. I spoke to baby too, asking himto go to the light (err cos the ahem opened up. So i supposed can see a little bit of light?) And then after waiting for a while, I told my husband that i sense something. Weird, since I'm on epidural I'm not supposed to feel anything down there. My gut feeling told myself that baby went down and I'm fully dilated. Big C went and told the nurses to check on me but they said doctor asked them to wait. Luckily doctor came not long after that, she checked me and said that I'm fully dilated and she started to wear apron and gloves and told me "MW (my chinese name), we gotto start pushing okay?".

And I pushed and pushed for 1 hour plus. err actually I dunno whether I am pushing or not but since the doctor and nurses said that I'm doing fine and I'm doing the right thing, so I made the same facial expression :P

Many times, we made jokes and laughed loudly. The nurses laughed and said that they have not seen anyone that can actually give birth and joke at the same time. I kept laughing about my "dead" leg.You won't believe it, while delivering, phone call came in and I can answer the phone call! Haha Since my gynea is a woman, and the nurses are women too, all of them shouted with excitement (you know how noisy it is when a bunch of women get together la..), kept calling my name and that actually reminded me not to pass out cos I was almost out of breath.

Finally, Justin came. He was placed onto my chest. He was very clean (probably I drank lots of coconut juice) and I cried in excitement (like a mad woman). Placenta came out as soon as Justin got out. Just in time. Otherwise Justin will be suffocating inside there without oxygen supply.

As soon as my dr saw him, she said "Aiyoh, exactly like kor kor! and he weight like what we expected around 3.2kg (Justin was 3.12kg)

Photobucket

We spent 2 hours in the delivery ward while I breastfed Justin. He was sucking hard the moment I placed him onto my breast with his eyes opened wide. My doctor called him the "Good Sucker". *lol* And that's my birth story and yeap, I have experienced all 3, show, water bag burst and also contraction. I hope I didn't missed out anything. Let me rest for a while and blog about "When Big J meet Small J" in my next post ya?

A very proud and obviously sleepy dadidi...
