Selecting the Right Mini Dress

Okay, so that day on my hub's birthday we went for Birthday Celebration and we took a family picture. When I posted it on FB, so many people asked me if I'm pregnant. -_-'' Anyway NO. It was because of the baby doll mini-dress I bought from Krabi. Since I bought it from the roadside I didn't get to try it on before I bought it, and I chose it because of the prints without looking at the cutting of the dress. Adoi....So now I have to wear it at home :(

So to avoid wearing the wrong dress again and being asked if I'm pregnant,  so I googled and found a few tips on how to select the right mini dress for me. For example, if you want to draw attention to the neckline or chest, you can select mini dresses with ruffles or cinched waist.
Pic Source: Zalora

This type of mini dress design gives attention to the top part body of a woman and help creates an hourglass figure. Besides that, if you want a more subtle approach in highlighting your chest, go for pleats or folded neckline mini dress for an added dimension. However do avoid bulky or chunky necklaces so that it won't take the focus away.

Pic Source: Zalora

For those who are blessed with a fuller chest and wish to tone it down, they can choose mini dresses with a loose bottom half. That's if, you want to even out your body shape in a subtle way. However, if you want more attention drawn to accentuate your bottom half, choose a mini dress which has more coverage up top with an A-flared bottom as it will be the perfect choice.

And not forgetting those who are born with a devilicious hourglass body , what else is best for you except bodycon mini dresses? My thought - if you have it, flaunt it! Don't be afraid to play around with bold colours and if you're uncomfortable with body hugging minis, then you can always go for lighter fabrics and flowing lines while maintaining the hourglass look. (Wah, I love this brown and pink bodycon dress from Zalora!! So Sexy!)

Not everyone is born with the perfect body (in fact no one has a perfect body!) but you can always accentuate your body with the right kind of mini dresses according to your body shape that will make you look good all the time plus shopping now is so convenient with shops like Zalora, so many designs and brands to choose from. You can even shop in your pyjamas now ;)

Where to buy: ready cut styrofoam lettering

I was looking for something else and I saw people buying these lettering. I think they are buying it for wedding backdrop or something.

And I thought "oh I didn't know we can buy these!!!" The old way of doing it is to buy one big piece of styrofoam and also the cutter. Then print lettering on paper and trace them and cut them. Your room will be filled with styrofoam all over the place. Those were the days....

So yeah, if you need styrofoam lettering for functions , you can buy them at Hewsonix at PJ Old Town. It's rm1.30 for each ( I heard other place is selling for rm1.80 each) . Just tell the boss what lettering you need and he will gather all for you. He told me he doesn't display all cos its fragile. So if you go around and you don't see the letters no worries yeah. Just ask the boss with the mustache.

Just sharing or like I mentioned in my previous post, it's also for my own reference in the future :)

Where to buy : Chicken floss

So I went to the pork shop looking for pork floss for my bread as lunch. But my jaws dropped when I saw the price , a small container for rm24. So I walked over to Chang Thung bakery in Taman Megah and I bought this pack of chicken floss for rm10.50. I know lah.... Chicken lah, not so nice lah. And I know lah.... So small pack for rm10.50. I tried buying a big pack and I end up throwing it away cos it started to smell funny after some time. So this time I bought a smaller pack for me to munch. So if you're looking for chicken floss for your baking or just to eat with your bread, you can get it from Chang Thung Taman Megah. Just sharing :)

BYOB

What's BYOB you ask? Its Bring Your Own Bottle. It's a place where you can bring your own bottle/containers to fill up cleaning agents like dishwashing liquid, detergent powder and so on. So when I saw my friends liking it in FB, I went to check it out. Surprisingly my friend was the owner. But since the shop is in Kajang and I hardly go over that part of the world, I asked him to tell me if he is coming over to PJ and then maybe I can ask him to bring some for me. So happen my other friend, Frostier went to visit BYOB, so he helped me to bring some back.

From left to right : Dishwashing Liquid, Softener, Dettol Gel and MopShine.

All these costs me Rm11.40 only, Cheap right? Why is it so cheap? Cos everything in the shop are recyclable items including the interior.
No fancy smanchy high tech stuff. Purely just come with your own container, fill it up and pay. There's no advertising cost, No cost for the containers.

You can check them out at BYOB Fb page for the range and price list. I was looking forward to try the Dettol Gel. Cos, you might not know this but.... I like to scrub toilets. When I ran out of idea or when I feel stressed up, I'll go scrub toilet.  No joke. So toilet cleanser is very important to me. And true enough that day I tried to scrub my toilet with it, I felt satisfied. The dettol smell is like.. telling me "I am very clean!". Haha

And the Mop&Shine is good too. I used it after I have renovated my house. Imagine the thickness of the dust after renovation. Took me almost 1.5 weeks to clean the house and I ended my cleaning session with the Mop & Shine. I must say for that price and the effect after cleaning, I think its worth it.
My lil boy chilling on the newly mopped floor. Its been a long time since he can lie down on our own floor cos the reno took so long and I took even longer to clean the house myself. haha Ah well, finally my reno is over and my cleaning routine is back to normal.

Pull Along Basket/trolley with chair

Now that Govt implemented that Saturday is a non-plastic day, I can see many people started bring mini trolleys and pull along basket out to shop. That day we're in Metrojaya, looking for a pepper cracker and then Justin was complaining that he was so tired. Then I saw a chair not far from where we're standing so I just put him on the chair. Then only I realised that it was actually a pull along basket with a chair.
So cool right? If not mistaken its about Rm69.90. Look at the stoned face, dead tired and mom is not going home yet. Now we know what is the chair for. haha

Got Bitten By A Wolf

The Big Bad Wolf that is.

All these (plus a few more of daddy's collection in the toilet) costs us Rm114.

We brought the 2 of them along. They had fun walking up the hill, sitting at one corner, fighting over the same book then both let go of the same book, and then the last bit was the bus ride to the carpark. But the best part was when I met with my blog reader *wave wave - you know who you are :) *, she called out their names and they got a shock. Even I got a shocked cos I never thought that I still have readers although I blog less and hop less too now. Anyway thanks for your support and encouragement.

When I saw this book, immediately I took it. So suitable for my kids. Mess Monsters. Thats what they are. That night, I turned off the lights and used a small reading lamp and read to them. I read it really slow... with a very scarry voice and by the end of the page, Justin asked me immediately accompanied him clean his playroom. *lol* I'm a terrible mother, I know! Anyway if you like to read, the BBW is the right place to go. Buy and keep for Christmas, Birthdays or whatever cos it is really cheap.

Bought this from FashionCastle2u.com. Nice or not? Very affordable.. only about rm30+. Okay la.. no need to buy so expensive cos I hope I'm not gonna wear it for long long time. Looks so familiar right? Hmmm me too. Think I saw it somewhere before but then really so difficult to shop in shoppingmall, cos my kids will perform bolloywood drama for everyone to see. *sigh* So thank god there's online shop.

Amazing Race Holiday

We went to Bangkok to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary last week. And boy, it was like amazing race holiday. We're there for 3 days 2 nights, too short holiday but it was just right for us because Jayden was with us and not forgetting we have another 2 dogs at home, waiting for us to come home.

We flew to Bangkok on the 9th via Air Asia. We didn't take the express boarding pass so we gotto wait in long queue, LONG LONG queue cos it seems like its Bangkok season now? I don't know. We have no choice but to squeeze into the middle and window seat with a huge guy blocking our way in and out of the seat. J stayed awake the whole 2 hours flight, he liked the taking off experience and he said YAY! and clapped his hands.
sky1

We arrived at the new airport, of course new airport means higher Taxi Rate. There were signs indicating that we should not take the "illegal" taxi outside of the airport. But guess what? It cost you 1000 Baht to take the airport taxi and only 500plus Baht to take the taxi outside. So take or don't take the outiside taxi you tell me?

We stayed in Zenith Sukhumvit Hotel, the place where Arabians stay. Big C said he did a very bad research this time. But the room was okay, spacious and lots of room to roll around.
jaydenbkk1

We drop of our luggages and started hunt for food. Since we stayed in Arabians Area, all food are seems to be not-so-suitable for us. So we stopped by this place (forgot what is the name) and had our first bite.
bkk-with-dadi

burger

Jayden slept in the stroller although the roads are so bumpy and uneven. We went to walk around Paragon area and even went to MBK but we only had like 20 mins before the shops close.

xmas-bkk
Xmas deco was still around. Not much of CNY mood here. Look at this xmas tree.

xmas-1
all made out of recycle water container. Cool eh?

After that we took tuk tuk back to hotel.
tuktuk
It was damn hillarious looking back at this pic. Look at our faces! Jayden held both our hands in the beginning and he kept quiet. The tuk tuk sped like mad, went opposite road, zig zag, It was a crazy ride. But then my son got a lil brave and then he let go of our hands and clapped his hands and said YEAH! I think he can go on roller coaster ride soon.

One problem, we forgot to bring his elmo pillow. So we gotto let him play till he is all worn out then only he can sleep.
jayden-in-room

After the tuktuk, I decided not to bring my dslr out.
1, I am too lazy.
2, no time.
3, no hand to carry the extra bag.
4, Jayden was clingy

The next day, we went to Platinum.
The clothes = ALOT.
The price=CHEAP.
No need to bargain here cos its wholesale area. Big C was so nice to help me take care of Jayden while I kept asking "How much?" Muahahah Thanks B!

We drop by Isetan and we got Jayden's Bday pressie here. He went nuts just looking at it. Been bugging us to open it up everytime he sees the packaging!

We had tomyum everynight and each time J was asleep. Ah....dinner in peace :)
tonyum
Check out my tomyum. 160Baht. Yummy!

shrimp-rings
And my shrimp rings, 100Baht!

No more tuktuk for 2nd night, we took taxi home. In Bangkok there's no such thing as METER TAXI. You need to really bargain. If you hate bargaining like me, just take the MRT/BTS la. Save saliva and more convinient. But travelling with a kid on a stroller is not easy. As most of the places is not stroller friendly. Luckily I have Big C to help me carry the stroller with J in it up and down the very high staircase.

Sat was like Amazing Race for us. Cos we went to drop by Chatuchak before we head home. The taxi driver asked us to help him "pretend" to go into the export centre and look-see for 15 min so that he can get a gasoline coupon and he will charge us very cheap price. And we end up spending more than 30 mins there waiting for my silver gold plated ring to be resized. :)

And then we went to Chatuchak and we had like 1 hour to shop. So, I headed straight to the shops (can remember roughly where are the shops cos I was there 2 yrs ago) and grab whatever I have planned to buy.

The custom checking in Bkk Airport = Very slow and crazy. So go to the airport more than 2 hours early before your flight. Otherwise you will be late. This time we bought the express boarding coupon.
express

I'm just so lazy to fight with the rest of the people. We got a comfy seat, 3rd from the front. And a seat for each of us. So Jayden can lie down and sleep.

And then we had our LUNCH at 3pm. RM8 Air Asia Nasi Lemak.
nasi-lemak
*sigh*....i miss my Tom Yum..

sky-home
We got home at around 6pm. Took the Sentral Bus and the lil one enjoyed it so much. Dad and sis came to the Sentral Station to pick us up so that we can collect our car from my dad. Reached home, 11pm.

This trip we :
We went on AirPlane, Taxi, Tuk Tuk, MRT and Bus.
Walked like dunno how many kilometres.
Went into dunno how many stores.
Bought like dunno how many things.
Ate like dunno how many mangoes.
I lost count.
hahah

This trip was super fast, we walked super fast and shop super fast. Just like Amazing Race Holiday. But we all enjoy ourselves - being together :)

Pureen Warehouse sale!

I totally forgotten about this warehouse sale although Janice did mentioned about it last week. I never plan to go anyway but I end up being there. How come? Well, Big C wanted to go to Chevrolet and don’t know why the traffic was so bad and we missed the turning into the showroom and end up being in front of Pureen warehouse sale. So I got down with Lil J and Big C went to park the car. Smart woman, forgot to bring handphone! Anyway, the crowd was mental pushing here and there. The Q was already VERY LONG and there’s soooo many preggie woman.

I was looking at the baby shoes and suddenly a man shouted “Jangan Tolak! Jangan Tolak!” (don’t push!) and he was carrying a box of new stocks to be placed in the wagon. As he was pouring the stocks in, a few man, jumped from the back, lunged to the front and grabbed some clothes, pushing a few preggie woman to the sides. And these women …………..(nope, not indicating any weakness) PUSHED BACK! And you know what? One of the man threw the clothes somewhere else because it was girls clothes! Aiyo! Grabbing front the back and don’t even know what is in front! HaHa

And that man came again. This time, he was saying “Jangan Tarik! Jangan Tarik!”( Don’t pull) and I looked up, those ppl was pulliing the stocks out from the box, which was on top of the man’s head! OMG! So kampong! So Memalufying kan! Even Lil J was babbling as if he was scolding those ppl. I managed to grab a few girls clothes and why am I looking at girls clothes? Hahaha Nope, I’m not pregnant. Its just that the last time I went to Poney warehouse sale, I totally forgotten to buy for
Raelynn and Rachel! So this time, I was attracted to a pink set which was supposed for Raelynn and a lilac set for Rachel. And then I saw Big C and called him. He came over and said “Eh, Put Back. Don’t buy la.. You look at the Q! And I park illegally and so far away”. Okay, pissed, hot, tired from carrying lil J, I dumped the clothes back into the wagon. :( Sorry girls, no pressie for u girls.

I only managed to buy 1 bottle of Pureen Baby Yogurt Shampoo which was cash sales and can be paid on the spot. The stuff is not really that cheap. Shoes at Rm10, normal price about rm20. The clothes set is about RM8-10. The baby booties at RM3 per/set. Half price and I’m saying its not cheap..w
hy? Look at the Q. You’d know what I mean.

But today should be better , and if you're smart, go at 5pm. ;)

Busy Busy Busy

Wah..today damn busy at work. No time to blog also. While worrying how to do the damn report, gotto worry about my son pulak. His hands and legs got spots like HFMD. Scared the hell of out myself. Even Shannon and Nadia also worried about him. So glad that there's so many ppl who cared about him. ;) But up till now, he SHOULD be alrite. No new spots and no fever. Fingers and toes all crossed!

So, after juggling at my new working place for a week. I can say these are a bunch of nice and noisy ppl. For the first time i cannot concentrate at work because it was too darn noisy! Yesterday was the worst! My boss was teaching me how to read the report and suddenly my eyes started to shut. Dang! I was falling asleep and not because my boss was boring..it's because the mind, eyes, hand, legs are speaking different language. Sei mowe? And obviously she can see my eyes was like shutting..but she pretend not to see la....and THANK GOD!!! the fone rang and as soon as she started to yak on the fone, i gave her the signal that i got to go get something and ran to the pantry and make myself a cuppa "kau" coffee. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and i went into the room with my coffee and continued with the discussion. Hahaha

Next week will be another busy week cos the director which I'm reporting to will be in Malaysia for 2 weeks. one word. BUSY. *sigh*

*suddenly changed to 8 mood*

Eh you guys know ah? My hubby asked me for a date to Giant warehouse sale in Summit. Mana tau when we got there it was like 930pm and we end up being in front of another warehouse sale. RM 10 for 1kg of clothes warehouse sale! Muahahahah of cos masuk and see what's happening la. And we end up buying RM36 worth of clothes. I think Big C got himself like more than 10 T-Shirts, i got myself like 6 blouse and a pair of shorts and for Jayden and his frens (which i dunno who yet, haha) many many pcs like this...

from left: 4 pair of lil boxers, 2 long pants to sleep, Polo T, Lil Giraffe T, 3 Carters Pajamas and a blouse for Jasmine. Only the white Pajamas is jayden's......and another 2 is for someone. So overall, i guess each piece is like RM1???

Nice hor? Take picture edi dun upload like abit sayang...so upload only la...hahha

I saw so many preggie mommies digging and selecting all the nice nice pjs. But u need to see properly ler...if not end up with hole-ly hole-ly baju and some of the rompers dun come with buttons. Rejected ma...what u expect. But if u can sew just buy the "plak lau" and sew it on la...takkan lidat also dunno how?

Okay signing off for this week, tomorrow very the busy. Going to Cameron Highlands to pluck Strawberry and tea leaves. And tags...i know i have many tags. But i dont think I'll do it this time cos if i do tags....first, i dun have enuff time to do tags. 2nd, BlaBlaBla is my priority...if I Tag means no time to Bla. And third, I kena double and triple tag on the same dunno go which part of the world and dunno who which island with who edi la. How to do?

Weekend...Weekend....

Did you see this in the papers yesterday ?

I was there last Saturday. Cannot see me meh ? I was at the back carrying Jayden....see see the left side ...Cannot meh ?

Yalor. Cannot see. You know why ?This many ppl wor. Everyone also wanna see the lion dance. Everyone also wanna see the ppl lou sang. And we're like standing here ...when the yee sang was as long as 520meter.

We wanted to wait la. Wait n wait n wait. And take picture...notice that i long long time never post my own picture in my blog? Hahahaha paiseh ma. Too many pretty woman out there.

As we're busy snapping pictures of these..

Some ppl busy snapping picture of him. I have no idea why....

Why we didn't join and "lou" the yee sang eh? First it was so damn late edi...those ppl talk n talk and so many ppl around . Second the yee sang wan placed on the table..and the table was left in the rain...and we saw ppl using hand to brush off the water on the table before they place the stuff on the table..No wonder it was extremely yummy. You can see yourself..that this long long yee sang....cannot really see the salmon. So maybe it was as the VIP table.

While waiting we went to Kong Woh Tong to have a cup of herbal tea, that's where Jayden learn how to drink with straw. And he sipped and sipped and sipped non stop.

Why was I at the event leh? Not that i kiasu...Just so happened that i went to
Mott's place on saturday for "pai nien". Before heading to her place, we dropped by KFC Sect14 to makan. And Jayden enjoyed himself with the BIG steering wheels.

And then we went to her place. We were 1 hour late, cos Big C wanted to go Digital Mall to look for his laptop Battery. So got there and played for a while. Psst i tell u guys something....Mott's porridge is very nice...nope. I never try it..but Jayden walloped the porridge, he even took some of Mott's No.2's porridge. And then we said bye bye and wanted to go home. That's when Big C said, "i want to go lau yatt". So drove all the way to KL and it was like 5pm edi. So he went to find his battery and i roamed in Metrojaya.

After that we went to hunt for Jayden's bday gift. And i got him this...

Super light sandals for the lil fella to walk. He's gonna walk soon, and i don't want him to walk with those heavy and chunky shoes/sandals. YAY! no more head ache for me thinking of what to get for his bday. And now another headache...the Party itself. Min already agreed to bake a pocoyo cake for Jayden's bday. (YAY!) So i went and roamed her site and found that she made a few more nice cakes....

I forwarded this page to big C and he said.."B, you want the cake ah?" *sigh*

This is another nice cake!

I wonder how Jayden's cake will look like!
